The winners will be judged by our team and closing date will be 30th April 2021. Draw date 1st May 2021. We will announce winners on social media.

Cornwall Wood Bank Relaunch:

A community enterprise created to help address the issues of fuel poverty in Cornwall.

Cornish Firewood launched the Cornwall Wood Bank Scheme some years ago to help those most in need. The Cornwall Wood Bank aims to support those in financial hardship and fuel poverty in particular. Keeping families warm all year round.

Those that can afford a little extra every order can donate to the wood bank one bag of logs or more if they can. This builds as more lovely customers add to it and Cornish Firewood matches the amount donated and provides free delivery to those in need who cannot collect.

The Cornwall Woodbank is delighted to continue working with Community Energy Plus who has secured further funding to support fuel poverty in Cornish households. Find more information here: www.cep.org.uk/information. They have many ways to help you be more energy efficient and access any grants or winter fuel payments if you are eligible.

Many families have to choose between heating and eating and this partnership means the funding can be further topped up by Cornwall Woodbank donations and the extra funding means we can reach so many more households. This year alone we are supporting 30% more households than last year.

The launch of the Crowdfunder this year is in response to huge demand for this heating fuel support and our customer donations; as generous as they are, simply cannot fund all of the requests we receive. We are working on other similar partnerships, sponsorships and corporate donations to raise as much as we can before the next Winter season.
